Chris Cooper

Bio

Chris Cooper is entering his third season at Union as the Varsity Outside Linebackers Coach and brings 18 years of coaching experience. Originally from Willits, California, Chris has coached at Mountain View in Bend, Clackamas High School, Central Catholic, Lewis & Clark College, and now Union.

For Chris, coaching is about having a positive impact on young people that goes beyond the game. He values hard work and enjoys helping players grow in ways that can carry with them into their future.

Away from football, Chris enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially his grandson, Brooks. He and his wife Annie have been married for 35 years and have three children and one grandchild.

One of his favorite football memories is getting the chance to coach his son. On game day, Chris has a quiet routine of walking the field and praying before the game, then making sure he sees every player during warmups.
