Gage Seekins

Bio

Gage Seekins is entering his first season at Union as the Quarterbacks Coach and his third year coaching overall. A Proebstel native and Hockinson High School graduate, Gage was a standout quarterback, defensive back, and linebacker, earning multiple All-League honors and MVP recognition at the Freedom Bowl Classic. He continued his playing career at Rocky Mountain College before injuries brought it to an end, then transitioned into coaching and spent two years working in the quarterback room there.

For Gage, coaching is about much more than developing better football players. He hopes the athletes he works with take away lessons that help them become better people, teammates, sons, brothers, and eventually husbands. His coaching philosophy is simple: good coaches create great players, but great coaches create good people.

Gage credits his grandfather, Roger, and his father, Corey, as his biggest influences, along with several coaches and mentors who helped shape the way he sees both football and life.

More than anything, Gage values heart in a player. He believes adversity is inevitable, and he’s drawn to athletes who choose to get back up, keep working, and do the difficult things even when it would be easier not to.
