Matt Kramer

Bio

Matt Kramer is entering his third season at Union and his 19th year coaching. A Portland native and 2004 David Douglas graduate, Matt has coached football at multiple levels and positions, with stops at Gresham, David Douglas, Central Catholic, and Union. He also brings 15 years of baseball coaching experience, including six years as the head baseball coach at David Douglas. He currently teaches at Cascadia Tech.

For Matt, the best part of coaching is the relationships built along the way. He’s been shaped by the players and coaches he’s worked with and hopes every athlete who comes through his program knows they’ll always have someone in their corner, even long after their playing days are over.

He values athletes who compete hard but still know how to have fun and enjoy the experience. Away from football, Matt enjoys traveling, golf, good food, and spending time with friends and family. He’s been married to Erin for 13 years, and they have a Boston Terrier named Slider.
