Richard Seigler

Bio

Richard Seigler is entering his second season at Union coaching the middle linebackers and brings seven years of coaching experience, including stops at Portland State, Chaparral High School in Las Vegas, and Pendleton High School.

A Las Vegas native and Oregon State graduate, Richard played four years for the Beavers before continuing his career professionally with the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Toronto Argonauts. One of his favorite football memories came on his very first NFL play, when he found himself blocking a former college teammate on kickoff return.

For Richard, coaching is about connection, growth, and working toward something bigger than yourself. He values players who are coachable, willing to work, and understand that improvement comes from consistently putting effort into the process.

Off the field, Richard is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the owner of Enrich Therapy LLC. He and his wife Beca have three kids, and family time often means concerts, sporting events, BBQs, and life with their Chihuahuas.
